Specialty: Family Medicine
Dr. Richard Mauriello is board certified in family medicine and has been practicing in the Berlin area for more than 25 years. A New Jersey native, Dr. Mauriello attended Edgewood High School and graduated from Rutgers University prior to earning his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completing his internship at John F. Kennedy Hospital in Stratford, NJ.
 
Dr. Mauriello has served as a family medicine physician at Advocare Berlin Medical Associates since joining the practice in 1999. In addition, he also has served as the school physician for the Winslow Township Elementary School since 1998. In the early part of his career, Dr. Mauriello was appointed to the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania's department of psychiatry and completed clinical trials on benzodiazepines under the world renowned Dr. Karl Rickels. His special interests include adult-onset diabetes mellitus, nutrition, low back pain, osteopathic manipulation, and hypertension.
 
He and his wife have three children and 5 grandchildren. In his spare time, Dr. Mauriello is an avid woodworker, fly fisherman, and railroad enthusiast who also enjoys attending sports events, especially baseball and hockey.
