Molly Powell was educated at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 as a second-degree student. She began her nursing career after graduating as a progressive unit nurse at Cooper University Hospital and subsequently served as a registered nurse at St. Mary Medical Center and the Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
Molly eventually went on to Rutgers University-Camden, where she earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020. She then participated in a 12-month intensive residency program for nurse practitioners with Henry J. Austin, where she was assigned CompleteCare Health Network in Vineland, NJ as her clinical residency site. Molly received an X-waiver during this residency program but utilized her skills to assist patients with opiate use disorder most during her time working as a family nurse practitioner with Project HOPE in Camden. Molly joined Advocare Berlin Medical Associates as a family nurse practitioner in April 2023.
In addition to her full-time positions, Molly has been teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing clinical courses on a part-time basis since 2020. She belongs to the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and she has attended conferences with the America Society of Addiction Medicine to better understand and work with the population to promote positive outcomes from a harm reduction perspective.
Molly loves working in the family practice setting and especially enjoys the diversity of seeing patients across the lifespan. Her primary goal is to work with these patients collaboratively to meet their individualized healthcare needs.
Molly lives locally in Berlin Borough, with her three children. She tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle with good nutrition and regular physical activity. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening in her backyard and outdoor activities like jogging and taking her dog Maxwell for hikes at local parks.
