Specialty: Family Medicine Dr. Julius Mingroni is a board-certified family medicine physician with more than 45 years of experience. Originally based in South Philadelphia and Washington Township, Dr. Mingroni is both a pharmacist and a doctor, and he has been serving as a physician at Advocare Berlin Medical Associates since 2007. He graduated from the prestigious Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1963, and later earned his doctoral degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford.
Dr. Mingroni is very knowledgeable in disease prevention and the treatment of many disorders in the geriatric population. A well-respected instructor, for a decade he served as director of the department of family practice at St. Agnes Medical Center in Philadelphia—now part of the Jefferson Health System—where he supervised medical students and residents and trained many of the young physicians who are now practicing in the Delaware Valley. Having lectured and taught at the bedside, he is a very caring physician who inspired his students to have a good bedside manner with a humanistic and holistic approach to medicine. Dr. Mingroni is active in community affairs and enjoys spending time with his wife of over 50 years, his children, and his grandchild. He speaks Italian fluently.
