Dr. Eric Baskin's specializes in care and surgery of the foot and ankle including trauma, fractures, sprains, heel pain conditions, and Achilles tendon injuries.

He has extensive experience in reconstructive surgery, bunions, hammertoes, arthroscopic surgical techniques, comprehensive wound care, gait analysis, and conservative management of foot and ankle conditions with orthotic management.

Dr. Baskin is widely considered an expert in the modern field of minimally invasive bunion, hammertoe, and minimally invasive hindfoot reconstruction. He was the first to perform the minimally invasive bunion surgery (MICA bunionectomy) and minimally invasive calcaneal osteotomy surgery (MICO) in the state of New Jersey. Dr. Baskin teaches and lectures extensively conducting cadaver courses each month to teach traveling surgeons from around the country.

In 2020 Dr. Baskin was awarded Bone and Joint Select Top Surgeons in New Jersey Monthly’s Top Docs Issue


In 2016 and 2018 Dr. Baskin was nominated for Doctor of the Year at Hackensack Meridian Southern Ocean Medical Center.

Dr. Baskin is part of a small percentage of the nation’s 13,000 podiatrists to be “double” board certified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in Reconstructive Surgery and Trauma of the Foot and Ankle.

Dr. Baskin is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and in 2013 was elected to the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Association.
